cookie policy
How Boston Area Bestie uses cookies, local storage and similar technology.
Effective October 25, 2026 · AlmaData LLC
This Cookie Policy explains how AlmaData LLC uses cookies and similar technology on bostonareabestie.com. It is part of our Privacy Policy.
1. what these technologies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature that lets a site remember information on your device. Both can be used to keep a site working or to measure how people use it.
2. what we use
- Campaign storage (local storage, essential): when you arrive from an ad or tracked link, we save the campaign parameters and ad click identifiers from the address, with the time they were captured, under the key "bestie_attribution". It stays on your device until you clear your browser data, and it is sent to us only when you sign up.
- Sign-up hand-off (page address, essential): your email and campaign parameters are carried from the landing page to the sign-up page in the page address so you do not have to type them again.
We do not currently set any advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not load third-party ad pixels or analytics scripts. If we add any in the future, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires, ask for your consent.
3. your choices
You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Sign-up still works without the campaign storage; we just will not know which campaign brought you to us.
4. changes
We will post any updates on this page and change the date at the top.
